The coming of a new year always brings a mixed array of emotions; the memories of the past year and the excitement for what is to come over the next year. It’s at this time of year that we like to look back on the highlights of what we have done and start planning new adventures.

When we look back on 2016, there will always be disappointment at the result of the EU Referendum result. However, our abiding memory will be of Sri Lanka… Pristine sandy beaches and swaying palms… Spicy curries, smiling faces and amazing wildlife. It was quite simply the most amazing place we have ever been. Please do take a look at the video we shot of our trip, which we hope provides a glimpse into this amazing place:

The coming year also promises much… New locations, new experiences, new friends and new memories. We have trips planned to Iceland, Berlin, France and Vietnam so far and hope to be able to plan a couple more over the next few months.

As this year ends, our hearts are full of the memories we have made so far and excitement for the memories to come. We look ahead to seeing the icy majesty and volcanic rawness of Iceland… Of exploring Berlin and discovering the modern history and pain of the place juxtaposing with the rebirth of a proud, progressive, multicultural city… Travelling through France again retracing the Battle of the Somme, Normandy Landings and Celtic past of Brittany and finally of passing down through the steamy Mekong Delta and up the coast past Nha Trang and Hoi An to Halong Bay and Hanoi.

Whatever the new year has in store for you, we hope you have a great time and wish you all the best for 2017. Take a minute to appreciate the year you have had and look forward to the year to come. It’s going to be a good one.
